If I was going to be an astronaut, I would need to lose some weight. So, if I can come up with a way to earn money becoming an astronaut, I can make money losing weight! Is that circular reasoning? It sure sounds like most articles on Medium. I apologize on behalf of all aspiring amateur writers, including myself.

Yes, that is how I am introducing this article. No, I’m not joking. I fully intend to discuss three ways to make money on your next NASA idea. In particular, with respect to becoming an astronaut. I’m not talking about becoming a NASA Astronaut but rather one that goes on missions designed by community and corporate partnerships. If you wanted to become an astronaut in either case, flying experimental aircraft, especially jets, is a contributing factor. So, if you want to get experience as a jet pilot, you may want to get focus on that rather than a traditional pilot’s license. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably very conventional. And that is the last person in the world you want to listen to because there is nothing conventional about space exploration. This is a precursor to my logic and I don’t apologize for it. Buckle up. Things are gonna get bumpy.
