Interface Design Jobs in Aerospace

Hi. Wouldn’t it be the coolest thing ever to get a job designing interfaces for Lockheed Martin or Sierra Space? I’m talking ground control systems for constellations of satellites, web tools for scientists working with advanced computational simulation software data sets, and anything else we can imagine.

Personally, if NASA JPL approached me and offered me a job, I’m pretty sure I’d take. But they aren’t. Why? I’m not the best aerospace application designer in the world. I’m so far from it in fact. I’ve never won a design award for something like that. Though I have imagined a path forward for it:

But let’s suspend sound disblief that you and I can’t get this type of job and instead pretend likes its only a matter of time. In that case, let’s go look at the job boards.
