From Bikes to Mars: Using Local Resources to Reach Your Goals
We all have to start somewhere. Just like the women in the triathlon who trained hard and found the right gear to race, you can find ways to overcome your transportation challenges. For me, that started with a skateboard, but it could just as easily start with a bike for you. And that’s where community bike programs come in.
Getting a bike isn’t just about having something to ride; it’s about opening up new possibilities. Imagine being able to ride your bike to work, save money on gas, and maybe even compete in your own triathlon someday — just like the athletes in the picture. For me, biking is a step toward my bigger dream: getting humans to Mars. And just as I’m working towards that goal, I want to help you work towards yours.
