Digital Athlete Challenge: Day 12
Good morning from the Metaverse!
Today is special. One, because you are here. Two, because we will be contrasting Zwift and Wahoo Systm Running Capabilities. If you remember, I started the series by challenging myself to a 14 day trial to really dive in to Wahoo Systm app, a content and calendar experience for today’s triathlete. But alongside it I’ve been doing sessions in Zwift, a virtual fitness experience. They are almost XR ready (augmented, mixed, or VR) but they don’t have an app on the Oculus, Vive, Magic Leap, or Microsoft. I won’t get into a technical discussion about how feasible it would be to deploy into augmented reality but I’d say Zwift is in striking distance.
Sidenote: I need to look up how to explore fitness concepts in:
- Solice (a blockchain based metaverse based on Solana)
- Niantic, who has a open source platform and just acquired 8th wall. I LOVE 8th wall.
Today, at its core, is a wild shift from cycling components as we unearth the running capabilities of these two platforms in my Hoka Rincon 3s. These shoes have been fabulous but its time for new shoes. And those socks, am I right!? Nerd alert!
